About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of hydraulic and hydrologic models for flood risk assessment using HEC‑RAS, MIKE, and custom Python scripts.
- Develop and maintain GIS databases, perform spatial analysis, and produce high‑quality maps and reports for client presentations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural, environmental, and regulatory requirements into sustainable design solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers, review technical deliverables, and ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Prepare technical documentation, cost estimates, and project schedules for large‑scale infrastructure projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in floodplain management, hydraulic modeling, and GIS.
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and AutoCAD for data analysis and design.
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to lead technical teams.
- Knowledge of local and international flood regulations and best practices.
