About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Medicaid Pharmacy modules within the MMIS platform, ensuring alignment with state and federal regulations.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and report on pharmacy claims and utilization data.
- Integrate third‑party pharmacy services via RESTful APIs, managing authentication, data mapping, and error handling.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver high‑quality solutions on schedule.
- Perform data quality checks, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements to enhance system reliability and performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare IT, specifically with Medicaid Pharmacy or similar benefit administration systems.
- Proficient in SQL and relational database design; experience with data warehousing concepts is a plus.
- Hands‑on experience building and consuming APIs (REST, JSON) and integrating external services.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
