About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive research strategies that uncover user needs, pain points, and opportunities across cybersecurity technology and controls.
- Lead mixed‑methods studies—including ethnographic fieldwork, contextual inquiries, surveys, and usability testing—to generate actionable insights for product and design teams.
- Mentor and coach junior researchers and designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and research excellence.
- Translate research findings into clear, persuasive recommendations that influence product roadmaps, feature prioritization, and design decisions.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, security, and business stakeholders to ensure research insights are integrated into development cycles and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in user experience research, with a strong portfolio of research projects in complex, regulated domains such as cybersecurity or finance.
- Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including usability testing, diary studies, A/B testing, and statistical analysis.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor research teams, driving high‑impact outcomes and fostering a collaborative research culture.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting findings to senior executives and technical audiences.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and how they intersect with user experience design.
