About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior banking and financial services CIOs to define and execute multi‑year IT strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead advisory engagements on digital transformation, cloud migration, cybersecurity posture, and data analytics initiatives.
- Provide thought leadership through research‑backed insights, workshops, and executive briefings tailored to the financial services sector.
- Facilitate vendor selection, contract negotiations, and technology roadmap validation to ensure optimal ROI.
- Mentor internal Gartner consultants and contribute to the development of proprietary advisory frameworks.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in senior IT leadership or advisory roles within banking, fintech, or broader financial services.
- Proven expertise in IT strategy, cloud architecture, cybersecurity, and data analytics implementation.
- Strong track record of influencing C‑level executives and delivering measurable business outcomes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Advanced degree (MBA, MSc) or relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, CISSP) preferred.
