Software Engineer
Lead the design, build, and scale of enterprise data platforms, driving data strategy, architecture, and analytics enablement across a global media technology organization.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the vision for enterprise data platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology roadmaps.
- Lead a cross‑functional team of data engineers, architects, and analysts to deliver scalable, high‑performance data pipelines and lakehouse solutions.
- Oversee data governance, security, and compliance initiatives, establishing best practices for data quality and lineage.
- Collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering leaders to enable self‑service data access and advanced analytics capabilities.
- Drive continuous improvement of platform performance, cost efficiency, and operational reliability.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data platform leadership, with a proven track record of building large‑scale, cloud‑native data architectures.
- Deep expertise in big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Delta Lake) and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with experience in data pipeline orchestration (Airflow, Prefect).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to translate complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Hands‑on experience with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
