EV Charging Interoperability Test Engineer
QA Engineer
Perform end‑to‑end interoperability testing of AC and DC EV charging systems, support loop testing and road‑drive validation, and troubleshoot high‑voltage vehicle‑charger interactions to ensure global standard compliance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive InterOp test cases for both AC and DC charging architectures, covering functional, performance, and safety criteria.
- Lead Loop‑1 and Mini‑Loop testing activities, documenting results and coordinating with hardware and software teams.
- Provide on‑site support during Mini‑Loop road‑drive tests, capturing real‑world data and resolving issues in real time.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and data‑analysis tools to improve test efficiency and repeatability.
- Analyze vehicle‑charger communication over CAN, PLC, and ISO 15118 protocols, identifying and debugging interoperability failures.
Requirements
- Hands‑on experience with EV charging systems, including high‑voltage safety procedures and power electronics.
- Proficiency in test automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Python, LabVIEW).
- Strong knowledge of global charging standards such as IEC 61851, IEC 62196, CHAdeMO, CCS, and ISO 15118.
- Experience troubleshooting CAN bus and PLC communication in vehicle‑charger integration.
- Ability to work in cross‑functional teams, document test results clearly, and support field testing activities.
