Systems Engineer
Senior Systems Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex infrastructure, platform, and software systems that support national security operations, leveraging Linux, networking, AWS, automation, and security expertise.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable Linux‑based infrastructure to support national security applications.
- Implement and maintain secure networking topologies, including VPNs, firewalls, and segmentation.
- Automate configuration, provisioning, and monitoring using IaC tools and scripting languages.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate new services and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot performance issues, and optimize system reliability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering for mission‑critical environments.
- Proficiency with Linux administration, networking protocols, and AWS services.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash) and experience with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Knowledge of security best practices, including hardening, patch management, and incident response.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative setting.
