Design, develop, and deploy Epic clinical applications, creating integrated, cost‑effective solutions that meet user needs while ensuring seamless interoperability with existing health‑IT systems.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead independent design and configuration of Epic modules to support clinical workflows across the health system.
- Develop integration strategies using HL7, FHIR, and other standards to connect Epic with legacy and third‑party applications.
- Collaborate with clinicians, IT staff, and vendors to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and ensure solutions are cost‑effective.
- Perform system testing, validation, and deployment, providing post‑implementation support and performance tuning.
- Document architecture decisions, configuration details, and integration points to maintain a robust knowledge base.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience implementing Epic solutions in a large healthcare environment.
- Strong knowledge of clinical workflows, HL7/FHIR messaging, and database querying (SQL).
- Proven ability to design scalable, secure architectures and integrate disparate health‑IT systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for hosting or extending Epic functionality.
- Excellent communication skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
