About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and monitor effluent treatment processes to meet regulatory standards and improve water quality.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop mitigation strategies for pulp and paper production activities.
- Analyze process data, generate reports, and present findings to senior management to support continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Lead investigations of environmental incidents, recommend corrective actions, and oversee implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in environmental management within the pulp and paper industry.
- Strong knowledge of effluent treatment technologies, regulatory frameworks, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and environmental data management software.
