Systems Engineer
Entry‑level engineer responsible for designing, configuring, and commissioning building automation and control systems, leveraging PLC/HMI programming, Python scripting, and networking to improve client sustainability and efficiency.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, program, and commission building automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and sensor networks.
- Develop and maintain custom software scripts (e.g., Python) to integrate disparate control platforms.
- Perform on‑site installation, testing, and troubleshooting of HVAC, lighting, and energy management equipment.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to create system documentation, wiring diagrams, and functional specifications.
- Support clients remotely and on‑site, providing technical assistance and training as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.
- 0–2 years of experience with PLC programming (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and HMI development.
- Proficiency in Python or similar scripting language for automation tasks.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (Ethernet, TCP/IP, Modbus, BACnet).
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
