Position Overview:
Under the direction of Chief Data & Analytics Officer, the Enterprise Data Architect is a technical leader responsible for defining, documenting, and governing the canonical data model and architectural standards that enable the firm’s enterprise data platform to deliver trusted, consistent data across its Practice, Growth, and Functional segments. Thiis role produces and maintains enterprise data blueprints—including entity relationship models, dimensional schemas, and source-of-truth definitions—that guide the development of high-quality data products.
Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities:
- Produce and maintain enterprise data modeling artifacts including ERDs, attribute-level source-of-truth mappings, grain definitions, and relationship documentation to enable consistent implementation across teams
- Own and evolve the firm’s canonical (enterprise) data model by defining conformed entities (e.g., Account, Worker, Project/Engagement, Client) and ensuring consistent interpretation across Practice, Growth, and Functional domains
- Architect and govern the Silver layer canonical model within a Databricks lakehouse / Microsoft Fabric environment, conforming data from Workday, Dynamics 365, and other sources into matched/merged/mastered enterprise entities
- Design and maintain Gold layer dimensional models (facts, dimensions, measures, hierarchies, and grain) across core subject areas such as revenue, workforce, pipeline, billing, and financial performance to support analytics and self-service consumption
- Perform architectural design reviews and approvals for new or modified data models introduced by any team, validating adherence to enterprise standards, cross-domain compatibility, and downstream usability (semantic models, Power BI, APIs)
- Translate business requirements into implementable architecture specifications by partnering with CDAO and Product Managers to convert needs into model blueprints, gold-layer design requirements, and development-ready documentation for engineering teams
- Maintain architecture decision records (ADRs) and reference patterns to document architectural choices, provide rationale, and accelerate consistent, repeatable delivery of governed data products
