Lead the design and implementation of scalable ETL pipelines and automation workflows, leveraging Python, SQL, SAP, and advanced orchestration tools to drive data-driven insights and operational efficiency.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL and data pipelines that ingest, transform, and load data from diverse enterprise sources, including SAP systems.
- Build and manage workflow orchestration engines to automate complex data processes, ensuring reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms to provide real-time visibility into pipeline health and performance.
- Collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders to enable advanced analytics, reporting, and AI model deployment.
- Optimize database schemas, query performance, and storage strategies to support high-volume data workloads.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data engineering, with strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and ETL tooling.
- Hands‑on knowledge of SAP data integration and enterprise data platforms.
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect, or similar).
- Solid understanding of automation principles and best practices for data pipelines.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
