- This job provides Flight Operations support in the areas of performance data and publications, weight and balance, route and payload studies and performance data automation.
What you'll do
- Analyzes airport runway information required to create takeoff performance data
- Creates and analyzes Engine-Inoperative Special Turn Procedures for airport runways requiring special departure considerations; coordinate with appropriate Flight Operations personnel to ensure the viability of proposed procedures
- Analyzes mission capabilities for specific city pairs
- Performs weight & balance analysis and maintains aircraft weight records as required
- Creates and loads data required for use of dispatch systems and other support systems
- Creates data required for the Flight Manual (FM) and Performance Handbook (PH)
- Responds to queries by pilots, dispatchers, load agents and operations planning personnel as required
- Responsible for handling aircraft engineering and analysis efforts for operations groups and participating in departmental technology projects
- Provides technical support duties for a fleet of aircraft and will act as business unit coordinator for applications development
- Monitors aircraft performance and related databases, data mining & analysis, developing business case for technology projects, identifying customer requirements, sourcing testing and quality assurance tools, and documentation
- Audits performance data, defines new business processes, use of standard industry analysis techniques such as engineering analysis, data modeling, workflow analysis, and functional decomposition analysis

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Knowledge of jet aircraft performance, navigation and/or weight and balance
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Masters degree in Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in aircraft performance or weight & balance engineering
- Experience with Airbus and Boeing performance programs
- Experience with database and programming software
