Software Engineer
Perform technical civil, traffic, mechanical and environmental engineering tasks, including drafting, GIS data maintenance, cost estimating, plan review, field inspections, and customer support for public works projects.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and update engineering drawings and plans using AutoCAD and related drafting software.
- Maintain and verify GIS datasets for infrastructure, utilities, and transportation networks.
- Develop cost estimates and quantity take‑offs for construction and maintenance projects.
- Conduct field surveys, inspections, and data collection to support design and compliance activities.
- Assist with plan review, research, and technical documentation for civil, traffic, mechanical, and environmental projects.
- Provide technical assistance to internal teams and external customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in civil engineering technology, surveying, or a related field.
- Proficiency with GIS software and AutoCAD (or similar drafting tools).
- Experience in cost estimating, field surveying, and data analysis for public works projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for report preparation and customer interaction.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
