Software Engineer
Experienced Engineering Technician specializing in robotics and automation, skilled in PLC programming, Python, LabVIEW, and mechanical design using CAD tools to support high‑risk, mission‑critical projects.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, and troubleshoot robotic and automated systems for mission‑critical applications.
- Program and commission PLCs, motion controllers, and HMI interfaces using industry‑standard languages.
- Create and modify mechanical designs and assemblies in SolidWorks or similar CAD tools.
- Develop test scripts and data acquisition routines in Python and LabVIEW to validate system performance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Associate or higher degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience with robotics, PLCs, and automation hardware.
- Proficiency in Python and LabVIEW for test automation and data analysis.
- Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks or equivalent) for design and documentation.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused environment and obtain required security clearances.
