Software Engineer
Lead enterprise data protection as a Senior Security Engineer, designing and managing Symantec DLP and GEODI solutions to classify, discover, and secure sensitive data across the organization.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and maintain enterprise‑wide Symantec DLP and GEODI platforms to detect, classify, and protect sensitive data.
- Develop and enforce data governance policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI‑DSS.
- Lead incident response for data‑exposure events, coordinating with cross‑functional teams to remediate and prevent recurrence.
- Implement endpoint and discovery solutions, integrating with existing security tooling and monitoring dashboards.
- Provide mentorship and training to security staff and business units on data classification best practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands‑on experience in enterprise DLP, data classification, and data discovery.
- Deep expertise with Symantec DLP and GEODI platforms, including configuration, policy creation, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of security standards, compliance requirements, and data protection regulations.
- Proven ability to design scalable security architectures and lead cross‑functional initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
