Software Engineer
Lead dimensional engineering for automotive mobility products, overseeing tolerance analysis, fixture design, and PPAP validation while driving continuous improvement using GD&T, CAD tools, and statistical methods.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead dimensional engineering activities, including tolerance analysis, specification, and validation for new and existing parts.
- Design, develop, and qualify checking fixtures and measurement systems to support production part approval (PPAP) packages.
- Perform measurement, verification, and validation of part dimensions using advanced metrology equipment.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (design, manufacturing, quality) to resolve geometric issues and improve product robustness.
- Apply statistical process control and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement and reduce variability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in dimensional engineering, GD&T, and fixture design within an automotive or mobility context.
- Proficiency with CAD tools such as CATIA or SolidWorks for 3‑D modeling and tolerance analysis.
- Strong knowledge of metrology equipment, measurement techniques, and PPAP processes.
- Experience applying statistical analysis and Six Sigma principles to improve manufacturing quality.
