About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment throughout the data center.
- Perform preventive maintenance and coordinate corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support infrastructure upgrades and new deployments.
- Document work orders, maintenance logs, and compliance reports accurately.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations, building codes, and Amazon’s operational standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical or mechanical systems preferred.
- Experience with data center or industrial facility maintenance, including HVAC, power distribution, and fire suppression systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to read schematics and technical drawings.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
