Hands‑on Data Center Engineering Operations Technician responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance of generators, switchgear, UPS, VFDs, and building automation systems in a 24/7 environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on standby diesel generators, switchboards, UPSs, PDUs, AHUs, pumps, motors, and VFDs.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults in real time, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Operate and monitor building automation systems to maintain optimal environmental conditions.
- Document all work activities, generate incident reports, and update maintenance logs.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support 24/7 shift coverage and emergency response.
Requirements
- Strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
- Experience with generator, UPS, and building automation system maintenance.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including rotating schedules and extended hours.
- U.S. citizenship and current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
