About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a small, senior engineering team delivering high‑performance trading services such as order execution, backtesting, market‑data ingestion, and broker connectivity.
- Own end‑to‑end delivery, quality, and reliability for assigned domains, ensuring low‑latency, fault‑tolerant operation in live markets.
- Participate actively in code reviews, architecture design, and production incident response while mentoring engineers through 1:1s and career development.
- Drive technical excellence by establishing best practices in micro‑services design, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes).
- Collaborate with product, data, and operations teams to translate trading requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or engineering‑manager role.
- Strong proficiency in Python and C++ for low‑latency, high‑throughput trading applications.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and container orchestration (Kubernetes) in production environments.
- Proven track record of building and operating reliable, high‑performance systems for financial markets.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and mentorship skills, with a passion for raising the technical bar while delivering results.
