Engineering Manager
We're growing our Monetisation team and looking for an Engineering Manager to lead it.
Who are we looking for?
We're growing our Monetisation team and looking for an Engineering Manager to lead it. This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll grow and support a team of engineers, own delivery and technical direction for the Monetisation domain, and stay close enough to the code to make sound calls alongside your team.
The Monetisation team works on several key parts of the business. In the VAS (value-added services) domain they build and maintain everything from pricing, checkouts and payment processing, recurring subscriptions, product activations, and experimentation/CRO. They also build and maintain an escrow system that lets users safely run the entire transaction through the platform, touching topics like KYC/KYB/identity verification, payment processing and payouts.
You'll be accountable for how this team performs: the quality of what it ships, the growth of the people on it, and how the roadmap connects daily engineering work to revenue outcomes. You'll partner closely with product and the wider engineering leadership to set priorities and clear blockers.
We also want someone who treats AI as a core part of how a modern team works. You encourage your engineers to use LLMs and AI tooling in their daily workflow, and you have a view on where the technology takes our ways of working.
What you'll do
Lead, grow and support a team of full-stack engineers (1:1s, career development, hiring, feedback)
Own delivery for the Monetisation domain: predictable, high-quality shipping against a clear roadmap
Set technical direction with your team and stay hands-on enough to guide architecture and unblock hard problems
Partner with product to shape priorities across VAS, payments and escrow
Champion AI-assisted engineering as a standard part of how the team builds
Requirements
We're a fast-growing scale-up. We want teams that build fast, fail fast, and learn fast. You don't need to be a world-class expert in every tool we use, but you do need a critical, open mindset, a strong engineering background, and a genuine enthusiasm for AI-assisted development.
Core (required):
Experience managing and growing a team of software engineers, including people development and hiring
A strong engineering background yourself, ideally full-stack with TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js and React
A track record of owning delivery for a team or domain: turning strategy into a roadmap and shipping it
Comfortable staying technical: reviewing designs, guiding architecture, and making trade-offs with your team
Understanding of GraphQL and its usage in large systems with multiple consumers
Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL
Active use of AI tools (e.g. Claude, Cursor, Codex) in engineering work, and a point of view on how teams should adopt them
