Engineering Manager
Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering, maintaining, and modernising SCADA and control system solutions for rail and critical infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, reliability, and client satisfaction.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of engineers and technicians focused on SCADA and control system design, implementation, and support.
- Oversee the full project lifecycle—from requirements gathering and system architecture to commissioning, testing, and handover—ensuring compliance with rail and safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to modernise legacy systems, integrate new technologies, and enhance system reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders, including operations, maintenance, and client representatives, to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation while mitigating risks and reporting progress to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) managing engineering teams in SCADA, control systems, rail or other critical infrastructure environments.
- Strong technical background in SCADA architecture, PLC/HMI programming, networking, and industrial communications protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget, with solid project management skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, IEC) are a plus.
