About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a cross‑functional engineering team, fostering a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and high quality code.
- Architect and deliver scalable, resilient platform services on AWS, leveraging Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid feature releases.
- Collaborate with product, data, and design stakeholders to define technical requirements, prioritize backlogs, and translate business goals into robust engineering solutions.
- Drive performance optimization, monitoring, and incident response, ensuring 99.9% uptime and proactive capacity planning.
- Champion best practices in security, compliance, and DevOps, guiding teams through code reviews, automated testing, and infrastructure as code.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on platform services and cloud infrastructure.
- Proven leadership in building and scaling engineering teams in a fast‑moving startup environment.
- Deep expertise in AWS, Node.js, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling.
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of collaborating effectively with product, design, and data teams.
- Hands‑on experience with performance monitoring, incident management, and security best practices.
