Lead a team building observability platforms for autonomous vehicle development, driving reliability and performance across cloud-native services using Kubernetes, AWS, Python and Go.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a cross‑functional engineering team focused on designing, building, and operating observability solutions for large‑scale autonomous vehicle software pipelines.
- Define the roadmap and architecture for metrics, tracing, logging, and alerting systems that support continuous integration and deployment workflows.
- Collaborate with product, platform, and security teams to ensure observability tooling integrates seamlessly with Kubernetes, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Drive adoption of best practices for reliability, performance monitoring, and incident response across the organization.
- Manage hiring, performance reviews, and career development while fostering a culture of innovation and data‑driven decision making.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a people‑management or engineering‑leadership role.
- Deep expertise in building and operating observability platforms using Kubernetes, AWS, and modern telemetry stacks (e.g., Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Go for developing instrumentation and automation tools.
- Strong background in CI/CD, distributed systems, and cloud‑native architectures.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of delivering high‑impact, reliable services in fast‑paced, complex environments.
