Role Overview
We are hiring an Engineering Manager to lead one of Joveo's product engineering teams — building the people, the process, and the technical foundation that enables sustained, high-quality delivery. You will balance hands-on technical leadership with people management, creating an environment where engineers do the best work of their careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers through regular 1:1s and feedback
- Own team delivery — planning, execution, quality, and retrospectives
- Partner with product managers to align engineering capacity with roadmap priorities
- Drive technical excellence — code quality, system design, and engineering standards
- Hire exceptional engineers and build a high-performing, inclusive team culture
- Represent your team's work and needs in cross-functional leadership discussions
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience managing software engineering teams in a technology company
- Strong technical background — ability to engage meaningfully in architecture and code reviews
- Track record of growing engineers through coaching, feedback, and career development
- Excellent written and verbal communication for distributed, async team environments
- Experience with agile delivery, sprint planning, and engineering metrics
- Ability to balance technical debt, velocity, and quality trade-offs at a team level
