About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers focused on the Events platform, fostering a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Define and evolve the event‑driven architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and low latency across global services.
- Collaborate with product, design, and other engineering squads to translate business goals into technical roadmaps and deliver features on schedule.
- Drive best practices in code quality, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure (AWS) to maintain high availability.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot production incidents, and implement proactive observability and incident‑response processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a people‑management or engineering‑leadership role.
- Deep understanding of event‑driven systems, message brokers, and microservice design patterns.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS) and modern DevOps tooling for CI/CD, monitoring, and infrastructure as code.
- Strong track record of delivering SaaS products in an Agile environment, collaborating across cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, able to align technical decisions with business objectives.
