Software Engineer
Lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting for engineering projects, ensuring accurate budgeting, cost control, and compliance with GAAP using SAP and advanced Excel techniques.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and financial models for engineering initiatives.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports, highlighting variances and actionable insights.
- Monitor cost accounting processes, analyze cost drivers, and implement cost‑reduction strategies.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements across all engineering finance activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to align financial objectives with project timelines and deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 5+ years of financial controlling experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with SAP (or similar ERP) and advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and drive financial performance improvements.
