Engineering Deputy Group Manager - Flight - BNH

Key Responsibilities

• Direct day‑to‑day flight test operations, ensuring compliance with safety, technical, and schedule requirements.
• Develop and approve test plans, procedures, and instrumentation configurations for aerospace systems.
• Lead data acquisition, processing, and analysis using tools such as MATLAB and Python to generate actionable performance insights.
• Manage a multidisciplinary engineering team, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with program management, customers, and subcontractors to align test objectives with contract deliverables.
• Oversee sustainment activities, including equipment maintenance, calibration, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in flight test engineering or aerospace test operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Proficiency in data analysis and scripting languages (MATLAB, Python) and familiarity with test instrumentation and telemetry systems.
• Strong project management skills, including budget control, schedule management, and risk mitigation.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities, capable of interfacing with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
