Engineering Associate supporting a Traffic Management Center, analyzing traffic data, managing incidents, adjusting signal timing, and coordinating infrastructure projects under a licensed Professional Engineer.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor real‑time traffic conditions and respond to incidents and events.
- Analyze traffic engineering data to support signal timing and operational adjustments.
- Conduct field reviews of traffic operations issues and asset conditions.
- Prepare technical reports, recommendations, and documentation for infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate work with field crews, contractors, and other agencies.
- Assist in project management activities, including scheduling and budget tracking.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Civil, Transportation, or related engineering field.
- Experience with traffic signal timing and incident management systems.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for report preparation.
- Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer.
