About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the assessment, planning, and design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and Indigenous regulations.
- Prepare detailed drawings and documentation using AutoCAD and GIS tools, supporting project approvals and construction administration.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders to track project progress, resolve issues, and maintain schedules.
- Conduct field inspections and data collection to support design validation and construction quality control.
- Support project budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting to senior engineers and project managers.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in civil or water resources engineering, preferably in municipal or wastewater projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and Microsoft Project or similar project management software.
- Strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes, regulatory frameworks, and environmental compliance.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
- Valid engineering license or eligibility to obtain one is a plus.
