Lead academic support for engineering and computer science, delivering expert instruction, research guidance, and curated digital resources to students, faculty, and staff.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver subject‑specific instruction sessions, workshops, and tutorials for engineering and computer science students and faculty.
- Collaborate with faculty to integrate library resources into curricula and research projects.
- Curate, evaluate, and maintain digital and print collections tailored to engineering and computer science disciplines.
- Provide one‑on‑one research consultations, including literature searches, citation management, and data management planning.
- Develop and update metadata, subject guides, and resource discovery tools to enhance discoverability.
- Participate in interdisciplinary research support initiatives and contribute to institutional research metrics.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of academic library experience, preferably in STEM or engineering collections.
- Strong knowledge of research databases, digital repositories, and metadata standards.
- Excellent communication, teaching, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with library management systems and research support tools.
