Engineer - Wind Loading Scientist/Engineer - Rowan Williams Davies & Irwin

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and validate wind loading models for complex structures using CFD and FEA tools.
• Interpret wind tunnel test data and integrate findings into design recommendations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with international codes and client specifications.
• Produce detailed technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Continuously improve analysis workflows through automation and scripting (Python, MATLAB).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on wind engineering.
• Proven experience in wind load analysis, CFD, and FEA (ANSYS, OpenFOAM).
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in technical documentation.
• Experience with wind tunnel testing and data interpretation is highly desirable.
