About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review traffic engineering designs for roadway, intersection, and signal projects, ensuring compliance with provincial and national standards.
- Conduct traffic studies, capacity analyses, and signal timing optimization to improve safety and mobility.
- Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates using AutoCAD and GIS platforms.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to integrate traffic solutions into broader transportation projects.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering with a focus on traffic engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in traffic design, signal timing, and roadway analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Valid Ontario Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
