Software Engineer
L1 WebSphere Application Server Support Engineer responsible for 24/7 monitoring, alert handling, and basic troubleshooting of WebSphere environments, ensuring high availability and SLA compliance.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor WebSphere servers, JVMs, and applications 24x7, ensuring system health and performance.
- Respond to alerts, incidents, and service requests, performing root cause analysis for service disruptions.
- Execute basic troubleshooting steps for service downtime, high CPU/memory usage, and log errors, following SOPs.
- Restart servers and services as required, documenting actions and outcomes.
- Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams, providing detailed incident reports and logs.
Requirements
- Experience with WebSphere Application Server environments and JVM monitoring.
- Strong understanding of incident management and L1 support processes.
- Proficiency in log analysis, performance tuning, and basic troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a 24x7 support model.
