As an Engineer Structural Design/Principal Structural Design, you will be responsible for designing and developing structural components and systems for aerospace and defense projects. You will apply advanced knowledge of structural analysis and computational mechanics to ensure the integrity and performance of our products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement design solutions that meet customer requirements and regulatory standards. You will also be responsible for mentoring and leading junior engineers and providing technical guidance and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement structural design solutions for aerospace and defense projects.
- Apply advanced knowledge of finite element analysis and computational mechanics to ensure the integrity and performance of structural components and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement design solutions that meet customer requirements and regulatory standards.
- Mentor and lead junior engineers and provide technical guidance and support.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in structural analysis and computational mechanics.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in structural design and analysis, with a focus on aerospace and defense projects.
- Advanced knowledge of finite element analysis and computational mechanics.
- Experience with Python programming language and finite element analysis software (e.g. ABAQUS, ANSYS).
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and lead junior engineers.
