About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and analysis for nuclear propulsion and ship systems using CAD and FEA tools.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate propulsion, structural, and systems engineering requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Navy and safety regulations, maintaining rigorous documentation and quality standards.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and corrective action plans to meet project milestones.
- Support construction and testing phases, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field.
- Experience with naval propulsion systems and shipbuilding processes.
- Proficiency in CAD (e.g., CATIA, NX) and FEA (e.g., ANSYS, NASTRAN).
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a final security clearance.
