Software Engineer
Mechanical Engineer responsible for designing, analyzing, and supporting naval ship systems, utilizing CAD, FEA, and GD&T while coordinating with cross‑functional teams and managing project deliverables.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine mechanical designs for ship structures and systems using CAD tools.
- Perform finite element analysis and stress calculations to validate design integrity.
- Apply GD&T principles to create clear, manufacturable engineering drawings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical solutions into overall ship architecture.
- Support prototype build, testing, and troubleshooting activities, providing technical guidance as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; relevant experience preferred.
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) and FEA tools.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, material properties, and structural analysis.
- Ability to manage project schedules, documentation, and deliverables.
- U.S. citizenship and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
