Software Engineer
Senior Engineer focused on hosting and security, responsible for designing, deploying, and monitoring secure datacenter and cloud environments, ensuring robust infrastructure for staff and customers.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure datacenter and cloud infrastructure for internal staff and external customers, including schools.
- Lead system specification, architecture design, and project management activities to deliver reliable hosting services.
- Configure and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure high availability and rapid incident response.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to review system performance, conduct security assessments, and implement remediation plans.
- Document infrastructure designs, operational procedures, and security policies to support compliance and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and datacenter operations, with a strong focus on security best practices.
- Hands‑on expertise in system design, automation, and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Solid understanding of network security, identity management, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP) are a plus.
