Software Engineer
Lead the design and implementation of AI‑powered laboratory automation systems for photovoltaic research, integrating Python, machine learning, and PLC control to optimize experimental workflows and data acquisition.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated laboratory setups for photovoltaic testing, incorporating AI algorithms for real‑time data analysis.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs and embedded controllers to ensure reliable operation of automated equipment.
- Collaborate with research scientists to translate experimental protocols into automated workflows, improving throughput and reproducibility.
- Implement data pipelines using Python and machine learning libraries to process and interpret large datasets from photovoltaic experiments.
- Maintain documentation, perform system validation, and provide technical support to laboratory staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience with laboratory automation, PLC programming, and Python development.
- Strong background in machine learning and data analysis applied to experimental research.
- Knowledge of photovoltaic technologies and related testing standards.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a research environment.
