Engineer 2 – Quality and Safety Engineer responsible for ensuring construction projects meet safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality benchmarks using risk assessment, incident investigation, and project management techniques.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality and safety plans for construction projects, ensuring compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and site inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations, prepare reports, and track corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to integrate safety and quality objectives into project schedules.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including safety logs, inspection reports, and compliance records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in construction quality assurance or safety engineering.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA, CSA, provincial standards) and quality control processes.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
