Engineer 2 – Cyber Security Engineering role focused on protecting enterprise networks, developing threat detection solutions, and responding to incidents using Python, AWS, and SIEM tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures and access controls across cloud and on‑prem environments.
- Develop automated threat detection and response scripts in Python, integrating with SIEM platforms and AWS security services.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and threat modeling to identify and remediate risks.
- Lead incident response efforts, perform root‑cause analysis, and produce detailed post‑mortem reports.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed security best practices into DevOps pipelines and application development lifecycles.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in Python scripting and automation.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS security services (GuardDuty, Security Hub, IAM) and SIEM solutions.
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols, threat modeling, and incident response frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
