Embedded Systems Engineer
Lead the design and implementation of robust control and protection systems for high‑power power supplies in fusion energy applications, leveraging embedded Linux, real‑time C/C++ development, FPGA integration, and power electronics expertise.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and validate embedded firmware for high‑power power supply control and protection.
- Implement real‑time control algorithms on embedded Linux platforms and FPGA accelerators.
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate sensors, actuators, and power electronics modules.
- Develop and maintain test benches, simulation models, and automated regression suites.
- Ensure compliance with safety, reliability, and performance standards for fusion energy systems.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems.
- Experience with embedded Linux, RTOS, and real‑time kernel development.
- Hands‑on knowledge of FPGA design (HDL) and hardware interfacing.
- Background in power electronics and control system design.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, interdisciplinary team.
