About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for embedded protection and control software used in digital substations.
- Implement test scripts and validation suites for IEC 61850 communication, sampled values, and SCADA/HMI interfaces.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional R&D teams to define validation strategies and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and provide root‑cause recommendations to improve software quality.
- Mentor team members on best practices in test automation and validation methodology.
Requirements
- Strong experience in building test automation frameworks for embedded systems, preferably using Python, C/C++, or similar languages.
- Deep knowledge of IEC 61850, sampled values, and SCADA protocols in the context of digital substations.
- Solid understanding of power system protection and control concepts.
- Proven ability to work in a matrixed, global R&D environment and guide technical decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
