Systems Engineer
Design and develop advanced electrical distribution and control systems, applying power engineering principles, AutoCAD Electrical drafting, PLC programming, and simulation tools to support high‑performance wire and cable solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical system designs for building, utility, and industrial applications, ensuring compliance with IEC and NEC standards.
- Create and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using AutoCAD Electrical and related CAD tools.
- Program, test, and commission PLC‑based control solutions for automated manufacturing and field service equipment.
- Perform power system analysis, load flow, short‑circuit, and harmonic studies using MATLAB/Simulink and industry‑standard software.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate digital solutions such as grid‑resiliency planning and contractor‑focused software tools.
- Support field services by providing technical guidance for cable testing, rejuvenation, and replacement projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; 3+ years of experience in power systems or electrical design.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and PLC programming (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent).
- Strong analytical skills using MATLAB/Simulink for circuit simulation and system analysis.
- In‑depth knowledge of IEC, NEC, and industry safety standards.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities in a fast‑paced engineering environment.
