Software Engineer
Electrical Engineering Technologist responsible for designing, testing, and troubleshooting power and electronic systems using CAD and PCB tools, ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving project success.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical circuits and power distribution systems for industrial applications.
- Create and modify PCB layouts using CAD software, ensuring manufacturability and reliability.
- Conduct functional testing, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis on prototypes and production units.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate electrical solutions into larger product architectures.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and test reports.
- Support project management activities, including scheduling, cost estimation, and risk assessment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent technical experience.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad) and PCB design principles.
- Strong knowledge of power electronics, signal integrity, and industry standards (IEC, UL).
- Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power analyzers.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.
