Software Engineer
Electrical Engineer specialized in data center projects, responsible for BIM/CAD modeling, power distribution design, and commissioning of high‑density electrical systems using industry‑standard tools and best practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and BIM models for data center infrastructure using AutoCAD and BIM software.
- Design and size power distribution systems, including UPS, PDUs, generators, and grounding, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and IT teams to integrate electrical designs into overall data center layouts and construction plans.
- Lead commissioning activities: perform pre‑start checks, functional testing, and verification of all electrical equipment to guarantee reliable operation.
- Generate and maintain as‑built documentation, technical reports, and punch‑list items throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 3+ years of experience in data center or large‑scale commercial projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM platforms (Revit, Navisworks) for electrical design and coordination.
- Strong knowledge of power distribution, UPS systems, grounding, and industry codes (NEC, IEC, TIA‑942).
- Hands‑on experience with commissioning procedures, testing protocols, and troubleshooting of high‑density electrical equipment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary project teams.
