About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain ElasticSearch clusters on AWS, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Configure and tune cluster settings, index mappings, and shard allocation for optimal performance.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python and Bash for deployment, monitoring, and backup processes.
- Integrate monitoring and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Stack) to track cluster health and performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize queries, index strategies, and data ingestion pipelines.
- Implement security best practices, including TLS, role-based access control, and audit logging.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience managing ElasticSearch clusters in production environments.
- Strong Linux system administration skills and familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation.
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Stack) and alerting.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex search performance issues.
