QA Engineer
Quality Assurance Engineer specializing in Electrical & Instrumentation for large‑scale industrial projects, ensuring compliance with ISO standards, performing inspections, and supporting commissioning of PLC and SCADA systems.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement QA plans for electrical and instrumentation systems in line with ISO 9001 and project specifications.
- Conduct inspections, non‑conformance reporting, and corrective action tracking throughout construction and commissioning phases.
- Review design documents, vendor data packages, and test procedures to verify compliance with safety and performance standards.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement.
- Support factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT) of PLC, SCADA, and field instrumentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience on large industrial or petrochemical projects.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IEC standards, and relevant Australian codes.
- Hands‑on experience with PLC programming, SCADA platforms, and field instrumentation testing.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a 19:9 shift rotation.
