Lead the design and optimization of digital signal processing and wireless systems for Amazon’s low‑Earth‑orbit satellite network, ensuring high‑throughput, low‑latency connectivity to underserved regions using advanced RF and signal‑processing techniques.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and validate DSP algorithms for satellite uplink/downlink and inter‑satellite links.
- Develop and test RF front‑end and antenna models to meet performance and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate software and hardware components into the LEO constellation.
- Analyze link budgets, error rates, and throughput metrics to drive system improvements.
- Document design decisions, test procedures, and performance results for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in DSP and wireless system design for satellite or high‑frequency RF applications.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python for algorithm development and simulation.
- Strong understanding of satellite communication standards, modulation schemes, and link budget analysis.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
