Software Engineer
Lead the design and stewardship of Qantas’ cloud architecture, driving governance, standards, and domain‑specific solutions across the organization using AWS and Azure platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Shape and maintain the enterprise cloud architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and cost‑efficiency across all domains.
- Lead architectural governance, embedding industry best practices, standards, and guardrails to guide solution design and implementation.
- Collaborate with domain leaders to translate business requirements into robust, cloud‑native solutions.
- Champion continuous improvement of cloud capabilities, evaluating emerging technologies and tools.
- Provide technical mentorship and support to development and operations teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and managing large‑scale cloud architectures on AWS and Azure.
- Strong knowledge of architectural frameworks, governance models, and security best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple domains.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus.
